Kitchen Appreciation Fee
Beginning January 1, 2018 we will be implementing a 3% kitchen appreciation fee to all guest checks.
There has always been a discrepancy between earnings made by front of house and back of house employees. Our goal is to work toward changing that. 100% of this fee will go directly to our unseen team members, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. Busy nights and large parties may mean more work for all members of our restaurant team, but for the back of house employees, their paycheck does not reflect the stress as it does for our tipped employees. Implementing this fee will allow us to continue to provide all the health care benefits, sick time, and wages that our back of house employees deserve without having to result in a subsequent raise in menu prices.
This small change will go a long way with our team members. We appreciate your support in helping us bridge the gap between restaurant wages.
